Job description

Now Hiring: Welcome Center โ€“ Front Desk Staff

Location: Naik Family YMCA, Mystic, CT

Shifts Available:

Weekdays: 4:45 AM โ€“ 10:00 AM

Weekends: 5:45 AM โ€“ 12:00 PM

Compensation:

This is a part-time, non-exempt position with an hourly wage of $16.35 per hour.

Are you an early riser who enjoys making people feel welcome? Join our team at the Naik Family YMCA! Weโ€™re looking for friendly, dependable individuals to be the first point of contact for members and guests at our front desk.

Essential Duties:

  • Greet and assist members and visitors with a positive, welcoming attitude
  • Answer phones, respond to member inquiries, and provide accurate information
  • Check in members, register guests, and process program registrations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Welcome Center
  • Support facility safety and emergency procedures as needed
  • Communicate effectively with other YMCA staff and departments

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Customer service or front desk experience preferred
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, member software training provided)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to the YMCAโ€™s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility
