Job Overview


Join our lively team at the Uptown Greater Sedona Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center!

Enjoy working part-time in tourism in beautiful red rock country!

  • Administrative role with weekend and open/close availability required. (8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.)
  • Share your knowledge of Sedona's hiking trails, dining spots and attractions
  • Staff position requires Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Duties

  • Greet visitors warmly and provide accurate information about local hiking trails, attractions, events and amenities
  • Assist visitors with inquiries regarding accommodations, dining options, outdoor activities and transportation
  • Open and close the visitor center according to standard operating procedures
  • Handle cash transactions accurately for merchandise sales
  • Resolve concerns or conflicts promptly with professionalism and empathy
  • Promote upcoming events, tours, or activities to enhance visitor engagement
  • Support community outreach efforts by representing the visitor center at local events

Requirements

  • Proven experience in customer service, guest services, hospitality or tourism roles
  • Good to extensive knowledge of the Red Rock Trail district
  • Strong communication and computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to manage conflicts effectively while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems
