Trusted Care Clinic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our General Surgery team in Silver Springs, Nevada. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with experienced surgeons in providing exceptional healthcare services to patients across a range of surgical needs. This is an onsite position within our hospital setting, enabling direct interaction with patients and a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with our general surgeons to provide comprehensive patient care, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
  • Conduct daily rounding to ensure optimal patient management, addressing any changes in condition and updating treatment plans accordingly.
  • Order and review laboratory and imaging studies, ensuring timely delivery of actionable results to inform clinical decisions.
  • Facilitate hospital admissions and discharges, providing necessary pre-operative and post-operative instructions, education, and support to patients and their families.
  • Assist in the operating room by performing first-assist duties during laparoscopic and robotic surgeries, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and surgical protocols.
  • Provide care in various settings, including Emergency Department (ED) consultations and Critical Care Unit (CCU) follow-ups, maintaining continuity of care across the patient journey.
  • Utilize excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive care strategies.
  • Participate actively in case discussions, contributing insights based on patient assessments and clinical findings.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population of all ages who require surgical intervention for various conditions. This includes pre-operative candidates needing thorough evaluations, patients undergoing complex surgeries, and those seeking follow-up care. Your focus will be on understanding the unique needs of each patient, ensuring they receive compassionate and individualized care throughout their surgical journey.

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
  • Current board certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C).
  • State licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in Nevada.
  • A valid DEA license, allowing for the prescription of medications.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association is required.
  • Completion of Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification within the first 12 months of employment is mandatory.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in advanced practice as a Physician Assistant, particularly within surgery or hospital medicine.
  • Experience as a first assistant in the surgical setting, particularly with laparoscopic and robotic techniques, is highly desirable but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 140,000 to 180,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, this position comes with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and continued education allowances.
