What is a community associate?

A community associate works to fulfill many networking, PR, and community engagement duties on behalf of a brand or organization. As a community associate, your job consists of managing projects, developing effective outreach campaigns to increase awareness of a brand, service, or product, and tracking member engagement. You may also help create engaging content and products. Qualifications for this career typically include a combination of a high school diploma and experience or an undergraduate degree. Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to work in a team are essential for this role.

How does a community associate typically collaborate with other departments to support member engagement?

Community Associates often serve as the bridge between members and various internal teams such as facilities, sales, and events. They may coordinate with the facilities team to resolve member issues, work with the sales department to help onboard new clients, and assist the events team in planning or executing community activities. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to multitask, as you'll be juggling multiple requests while ensuring a positive experience for members. Regular collaboration with diverse teams is key to fostering a vibrant and supportive community environment.

Familiarity with CRM software, office productivity tools, and facility management systems is often required. Exceptional interpersonal skills, adaptability, and proactive communication help you excel in supporting community members and resolving issues. These competencies are crucial for fostering a positive environment, ensuring smooth operations, and delivering excellent service to clients and members.

Job description

Your Veterinary Career, Reimagined.
Associate Veterinarian Opportunity at PetVet365 (Part-time and full-time)

Why PetVet365?
Vet Owned. Vet Led. Vet Loved. We’re building a new way to practice veterinary medicine — one that prioritizes life-work balance, Fear Free care, and innovation. At PetVet365, we believe great medicine and great lives go hand in hand.

Many hospitals are Fear Free Certified. At PetVet365, Fear Free isn’t a check-the-box certification — it’s who we are. Think of it as Fear Free on steroids: From hospital design to daily protocols, every detail is built around lowering stress and strengthening the bond between pets, families and veterinary teams. For our patients, it means veterinary visits that feel safe, positive, and personalized. For our Associate Doctors, this means a calmer workplace, a steady caseload, and more meaningful time with patients —not rushed volume. You’ll benefit from apprenticeship-style mentorship that builds skills in surgeries, dentals, and full-spectrum care while supporting strong financial growth and competitive pay.

And if ownership is in your future, we’ll help you get there faster with a clear path toward partnership.

What You’ll Do
As an Associate DVM, you’ll provide top-notch veterinary care and be part of a collaborative team that values both excellence and balance. You’ll:

  • Deliver compassionate, Fear Free medical, surgical, and dental care, with the time and support to treat each patient based on their individual needs.
  • Grow through an apprenticeship-style mentorship model, learning side by side with partner doctors across the full spectrum of care, building confidence and clinical expertise.
  • Diagnose and treat cases in general practice, dentistry, surgery, and preventive wellness while continuing to expand your skillset through CE and leadership development opportunities.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, presenting treatment options with empathy and transparency to strengthen the doctor–client bond.
  • Mentor and collaborate with veterinary technicians, fostering a positive and growth-oriented hospital culture.
  • Partner with hospital leadership to review performance, improve processes, and grow the practice as part of a collaborative network.
  • Get involved in outreach, client education, and community events, building strong ties to the community you serve.
  • Enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package, with access to a clear career growth path —including the opportunity to pursue leadership or ownership through our Partner Doctor model.

Who You Are

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) with an active state license.
  • Experience in practice is great, but new grads are welcome — mentorship is built in.
  • Fear Free Certified (or eager to be — we’ll provide the training).
  • Strong communicator and team player.
  • Excited to grow your career in a supportive, innovative environment.

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive salary.
  • 401(k) with matching.
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Flexible scheduling and generous PTO.
  • Student loan assistance.
  • Professional development support, CE allowance, and mentorship.
  • Employee discounts (because your pets deserve great care, too).

At PetVet365, you’ll join a community of veterinarians who believe the future of vet med should be healthier for pets — and for you. Apply today and see how your career can thrive here.
