As a Flow Inventory Associate, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining CarMax’s best-in-class vehicle inventory and customer experience. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and take pride in accuracy and organization. You’ll handle vehicle receiving and shipping, lot maintenance, merchandising, and photo uploads, ensuring every car meets CarMax’s quality standards. Role Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory by following CarMax inventory processes.
  • Receive and secure vehicles shipped to CarMax and prepare title packets for transfers.
  • Perform lot maintenance and merchandising, ensuring display areas are clean and organized.
  • Prep vehicles for customer returns and loaners, including washing and vacuuming.
  • Execute photo station process for carmax.com listings.
  • Drive vehicles on and off the lot for repairs, storage, and auction support.
  • Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet CarMax driving standards.
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and accurately transcribe data for inventory records.
  • Completion of Inventory Associate workstation certifications and assigned trainings.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
