Support VRL Communications and Marketing with project coordination, managing timelines, and supporting content execution from concept to completion across all platforms.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES
The primary responsibilities of the Communications Assistant include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Primary project assistant between VRL staff and Church Media Squad for sermon series graphics, print materials, and ministry communications.
  • Manage communication timelines, creative requests, approvals, and deadlines ensuring projects move smoothly from concept to completion.
  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and publishing social media across church platforms.
  • Coordinate print and promotional materials for ministries, events, and weekend experiences.
  • Help maintain brand consistency across digital, print, and in-house communications.
  • Support the Communications & Marketing Lead with organization, follow-up, and execution of ongoing projects.
  • Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Highly organized, with follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Creative thinker with an eye for design, communication, and social media trends.
  • Self-starter with high tenacity who can learn quickly and solve problems proactively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced ministry environment.
  • Positive, collaborative attitude with ability to work well with staff, volunteers, and external partners.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, Canva, and basic project management tools preferred.
