Position Summary
The Marketing Student Assistant supports the Division of Student Affairs by creating content that informs, engages, and connects students with campus opportunities, programs, services, and events. Working closely with the Assistant Director for Outreach and Communications, this position provides hands-on experience in marketing, digital media, storytelling, social media management, photography, graphic design, and strategic communications.
Student assistants will contribute to real-world marketing projects that reach thousands of Coastal Carolina University students through social media, email communications, digital signage, websites, publications, and campus campaigns. This role is ideal for students interested in marketing, communications, public relations, graphic design, media production, business, or related fields who are looking to build a professional portfolio while gaining practical experience in a collaborative and creative environment.
Successful candidates are creative, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. They should be comfortable working independently, managing multiple projects, and contributing ideas that help strengthen student engagement and campus communication efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Media and Marketing Support
• Assist in creating and scheduling social media content.
• Help design basic graphics and promotional materials.
• Contribute to photography and videography efforts for events and campaigns.
Communication and Outreach
• Support email communications and website updates.
• Help draft and edit content for newsletters and announcements.
• Assist in promoting events and initiatives across campus.
Administrative and Project Support
