Description:
Working collaboratively with various stakeholders to assess change impacts, the L&D Change Management Specialist develops and deploys change management strategies and plans that ensure the successful adoption and realization of learning and development initiatives.
Specific areas of responsibility include:
• Performing change impact analyses to assess the organization's readiness for change.
• Conducting stakeholder analyses and engagement to ensure stakeholder awareness, support and involvement in the change process.
• Developing and executing strategies that address the organization's readiness for change, inclusive of change management and communication plans and stakeholder engagement and management plans.
• Developing internal marketing and communication collateral including things such as self-service resources (if needed), communications to the target audience(s) (including things such as newsletter articles, emails, etc.), stakeholder alignment presentations, sponsor talking points.
• Facilitating adoption and realization of learning and development initiatives by monitoring and addressing resistance to change, managing expectations, and communicating updates.
• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of change management initiatives and recommending improvements.
• Providing guidance and support to managers and employees throughout the change process.
• Counseling stakeholders on change management principles and best practices.
• Partner with other change and communications colleagues to leverage various communication channels and digital media to effectively reach target audiences to ensure learning and development initiatives are aligned to broader initiatives (if needed) and leveraged to their fullest potential.
• Leverage a data-driven approach/employee listening insights to inform strategies and measure the effectiveness of change and communications plans against desired outcomes.
• As needed, drive stakeholder management (e.g., present updates to key leaders, etc.)
• May contribute to other Global Learning & Development departmental communications.
Qualifications:
• Proven ability to develop and execute change and communication strategies and plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent written and verbal skills (clear and concise) for various communication channels (email, websites, newsletters, presentations, video scripts, internal advertisements for learning program(s)) to communicate effectively and creatively using compelling story-telling capabilities.
• Ability to streamline verbose content to focus on the main message concisely and effectively.
• Excellent ability to analyze and understand global audiences/personas and tailor change and communication plans and communications accordingly.
• Ability to measure communication effectiveness (i.e. metrics) and adjust/adapt marketing and communication strategies and copy appropriately.
• Extremely detail-oriented.
• Generates creative ideas through research and resourcefulness.
• Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced, constantly changing environment, and manage and meet multiple project timelines simultaneously.
• Demonstrated knowledge of change management frameworks and methodologies.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic, global environment.
• A strategist, able to see the big picture, and a content creator with proven ability to integrate messaging and delivery across multiple channels and audiences.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into employee-centric communications.
• Excellent critical thinking skills.
• Ability to experiment, learn and adapt (for example, experiment with use of AI, experiment with different channels and communication methods)
• Proficient in the Microsoft suite including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel.
Preferred:
• Experience using Adobe suite
• Change Management, internal communications, and/or employee engagement.
• PROSCI (or other change management methodology) Certification
• Metrics-driven focused on using metrics to define strategy and assess the effectiveness of change and communication plans.
Education: Minimum of a bachelor's degree
Years of experience: 3+ years of experience in change management or organizational development.
