Job Description

Responsibilities:  

Accountable for the overall planning, tracking, and execution of an Enterprise DW/BI program using an iterative, multi-phase approach

Responsible for actively managing project communication, project risks, and team dynamics

Ensure that the project complies with all SDLC processes such as requirements analysis, design/build, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and release management

Provide support in setting strategies, process design and workflow.

Leads and directs project teams to meet project objectives. Reviews, evaluates, baselines and executes project plans, schedules and budgets

Work closely with internal and external project teams to support the estimation and delivery of reporting requirements, data architecture and design solutions

Collaborate with Business and IT leadership teams to ensure that the delivered solution meets agreed upon requirements

Identifies and negotiates schedules, milestones and resource required to meet project objectives and success criteria 

Provide technical direction and guidance to Software Engineers and Programmers. 

Desired Skills:

Technologies - Cognos, Hadoop, Informatica, Elastic Search, Tableau (preferable)

Bachelor's / Master's degree or equivalent experience required.

10+ years of experience and at least 4/5+ years in Project Management Experience

Experience managing BI Projects with good BI and DW concepts

Proven technical experience in any DW/BI tool like BO, Informatica, Cognos etc.

Experience in databases like Oracle/SQL/Teradata

Experience managing multiple BI development Projects with good Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing concepts.

Good communication skills required

Extensive experience in PM skills

Experience managing requirements in a demanding environment and tight timelines with lots of change management requests and lots of pushback required

Ability to handle multi member teams in a challenging environment

Ability to plan and come up with clear Test Environment, Test data and QA strategy to ensure the success of the project

Ability to manage stake holder's expectation/escalations in a highly visible project

Strong communication skills

PMP certification desired
