Looking to join a passionate team dedicated to developing and manufacturing life-saving biopharmaceuticals? Avid Bioservices is a leading clinical and commercial biologics CDMO focused on creating innovative solutions to meet the needs of our clients and improve patient outcomes.
Your Role:
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Internal Communications Lead to shape how we communicate, connect, and align across AVID.
This role is critical in ensuring that our people understand where we are going, why it matters, and how they contribute. You will partner closely with executive leadership to bring clarity to complex topics, reinforce our culture, and strengthen trust through consistent, authentic communication.
This is an ideal role for someone who combines strategic thinking with strong execution, and who thrives in building clarity, alignment, and engagement in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Communications Strategy
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy aligned with AVID's business priorities and culture
  • Define communication frameworks, channels, and cadences that ensure clarity and consistency across the organization
  • Establish standards for tone, voice, and messaging

Executive & Leadership Communications
  • Partner with the CEO, ELT, and senior leaders to craft clear, compelling communications (e.g., town halls, organizational updates, change announcements, intranet)
  • Support leaders in communicating with authenticity, clarity, and consistency
  • Translate strategy and complex topics into accessible, engaging messages

Organizational Alignment & Change Communications
  • Lead communication efforts for key initiatives such as organizational changes, policy updates, and transformation projects
  • Ensure messaging supports transparency, trust, and psychological safety
  • Create structured communication plans for major initiatives

Culture & Engagement
  • Reinforce AVID's culture and agreed-upon principles through storytelling and communication
  • Support moments that shape employee experience (e.g., onboarding, offsites, key milestones)
  • Partner with People, Legal, and leadership teams to ensure communications are aligned, inclusive, and thoughtful

Channels & Content Management
  • Oversee and optimize internal communication channels (e.g., town halls, intranet, email, leadership cascades)
  • Create high-quality content including announcements, FAQs, leadership talking points, and narratives
  • Ensure the right message reaches the right audience at the right time

Measurement & Continuous Improvement
  • Define and track metrics to measure communication effectiveness and engagement
  • Gather employee feedback and continuously improve communication approaches
  • Bring data-driven insights to leadership on what is working and where to improve

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, HR, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in internal communications or corporate communications
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced organization (GMP or regulated environment is a plus)
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills
  • Proven experience supporting executive communications
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities

Key Skills & Attributes:
  • Clarity: Ability to simplify complex ideas into clear, actionable messaging
  • Credibility: Builds trust with senior leaders and employees
  • Strategic Thinking: Connects communications to business outcomes
  • Execution Excellence: Delivers high-quality work with speed and precision
  • Emotional Intelligence: Understands tone, timing, and audience impact
  • Adaptability: Navigates change and ambiguity effectively

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This role is a full-time onsite position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm PST unless otherwise stated by Supervisor. The employee must also have the ability to work overtime and/or weekends when necessary.
Compensation:
We offer competitive compensation packages for this role, including a base salary, performance-based bonuses, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
The compensation range for this role is $100,800 - $126,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer opportunities for career growth and development as well as a supportive and inclusive work environment.
Who you are:
  • You have a "bring it on!" team player approach and an unshakable positive attitude, always ready to tackle anything that comes your way.
  • Your written and verbal skills are out of this world, and you communicate with clarity and confidence.
  • You have exceptional multitasking skills and an unparalleled attention to detail that ensure the smooth running of everything.
  • You are a master at building relationships, capable of establishing connections with anyone, be it team members, clients, vendors, or suppliers.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
In this dynamic role, expect a blend of regular activities like sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional physically engaging tasks such as lifting objects up to 25 pounds. The work environment might expose you to electrical shocks, toxic chemicals, vibrations, or loud noise levels occasionally.
