Role Description This is a full-time, mixture of remote and on-site Associate Attorney role located in Madison, MS. The Associate Attorney will research and analyze legal issues, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts, and assist in case strategy development. Daily responsibilities include managing case files, reviewing documents and evidence, communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and courts, and preparing for hearings, depositions, and trials. The role involves attending court proceedings and client meetings, negotiating settlements when appropriate, and ensuring timely, accurate completion of all legal tasks. The Associate Attorney will also support senior attorney, contribute to firm initiatives, and maintain current knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership (or eligibility for admission) in Mississippi.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills, including the ability to draft clear, well-supported pleadings, motions, and memoranda.
  • Experience or coursework in litigation, civil procedure, and evidence; prior clerkship, internship, or associate experience is preferred.
