Job description

Digital Communications Operations Specialist

The University of Maine at Augusta (UMA) seeks qualified applicants for the full time position of Digital Communications Operations Specialist. This position is responsible for managing UMA's website and digital content, ensuring that information is accurate, accessible, and aligned with institutional priorities. This role supports the day-to-day execution of digital communications by updating and maintaining website content, assisting with email communications, supporting digital platforms used across External Relations, and developing and adapting content for digital channels such as social media and email.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

      Experience managing website content and working with website platforms (e.g., WordPress)

      Understanding of digital accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG)

      Experience with email platforms and digital tools (e.g., Emma, GiveCampus)

      Strong attention to detail and content accuracy

      Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS: 

REQUIRED:

      Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field

      3-5 years of experience in digital content management, web support, or related field

PREFERRED:

      Experience in higher education or similarly complex organizations

      Experience with website content management systems

      Familiarity with accessibility standards and digital compliance

Salary: The hiring salary is high 40s to low 50s.
