Job description

Position— Assistant Professor of Communication, starting Fall 2026.

Position Requirements: The successful candidate must be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching. Candidates should have a specialization in interpersonal and/or organizational communication with an ability to teach introductory courses, topics-based courses in the candidate's area(s) of specialty, and upper-division courses in communication theory and ethics, while also contributing to our Leadership program. Responsibilities will also include teaching in the general education program and participating in Eureka's emerging intergroup understanding programming. Candidates are also expected to serve as an academic advisor.

Desired Qualifications: Ph.D. in Communication.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk or sit. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Normal workdays are Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM, including one hour allocated for lunch. Some flexibility for evening or weekend hours is required.
SALARY RANGE: $48,000 - $52,000 annually
