Job description

MP+F is seeking a strategic, curious and collaborative Senior Marketing Strategist to help clients connect with the audiences that matter most and achieve meaningful business results. This role is based in Knoxville,ย TNย and weย operateย on a hybrid work schedule with a minimum of three days in the office.ย 

This role develops integrated marketing strategies grounded in research, audience insights and performance data. The ideal candidate can translate complex challenges into actionable plans, connect strategy to execution and communicate recommendations clearly to clients and colleagues alike. This role also includes account leadership responsibilities, serving as the client relationship manager, overseeing teams, and managing scopes of work.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop integrated marketing and advertising strategies aligned with client goals and business objectives.
  • Conduct audience, market and competitive research to uncover insights and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Partner with advertising, creative and analytics teams to shape campaigns, content strategies and audience engagement plans.
  • Guide audience targeting, channel selection, budget allocation and optimization efforts across paid and owned channels.
  • Develop testing strategies and recommend new approaches that improve performance and strengthen results.
  • Establish measurement frameworks, define success metrics and evaluate campaign performance.
  • Translate data and research into clear, actionable recommendations for clients and internal teams.
  • Present strategies, recommendations and campaign results to clients and internal teams.
  • Serve as the client relationship manager and strategic advisor for assigned clients and contribute to new business strategy, proposals and presentations.
  • Stay current on emerging platforms, technologies and marketing best practices.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in digital or integrated marketing strategy, preferably in an agency environment.
  • Experience developing and optimizing advertising strategies in collaboration with buying teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience translating performance data into strategic recommendations.
  • Experience with lead generation, customer journey development and conversion optimization.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and client relationship management skills.

Technical Skills

Required:

  • Google Ads
  • Meta Ads Manager
  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
  • Email marketing and SMS marketing experience

Preferred:

  • TikTok and LinkedIn advertising
  • HubSpot or comparable CRM/marketing automation platform
  • Looker Studio or similar reporting tools
  • Proficient in SEO and GEO strategies
  • Google Tag Manager
