Aon is looking for a Strategic Communication Partner - Hybrid/In Person (Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Denver, Phoenix, Los Angeles), or Virtual

As part of our Strategic Communication team within Aon's Human Capital business, the Partner in this role will be accountable for driving business growth, expanding client relationships, managing people, and enhancing market differentiation for our team and Aon. This role works with clients to develop communication and change strategies and high-impact creative communication in the areas of total rewards (compensation, benefits, and more), talent programs, and organizational change. This role can be on-site, virtual or hybrid, and will require travel.

What the day will look like

  • Serving as a trusted advisor to clients, incorporating innovative communication, change, and engagement tactics in their HR, total rewards, and organizational change strategies
  • Leading client engagements and coaching project teams and external partners to develop and deliver innovative change communication strategies and solutions-while being willing and able to do the work, too (strategy, planning, advisory, content creation)
  • Owning multiple large-scale, complex client relationships and projects at once, across a variety of HR and total rewards topics, working both independently and collaborating with clients and Aon teams
  • Leading new business pursuits, expanding existing client relationships, and supporting strategic growth opportunities
  • Helping shape internal and external communication points of view and solutions, and translating emerging communication trends, such as AI, community building, and asynchronous communication, into practical tactics and opportunities
  • Building relationships with experts across Aon and partnering to shape innovative, market-facing approaches, offers, and solutions that integrate our communication expertise into Aon's broader Human Capital offerings

  • 15+ years of experience in HR and total rewards communication, employee experience consulting, and related employee communication
  • Strategic change communication or change management experience
  • Proven track record in business development, client leadership, and revenue growth
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with subject matter expertise in compensation and incentives, performance management, total rewards, and other benefits programs
  • Behavior change acumen
  • Proficiency in using AI to enhance communication strategies and deliverables while maintaining strategic thinking, creativity, accuracy, client brand, and human voice
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented, yet highly virtual environment

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $190,000 to $250,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
