Job Summary:
Winland Foods is looking for students who are passionate about learning with a desire to work in manufacturing and sales! Our summer intern will complete tasks assigned by their manager, which may include identifying business opportunities, pulling reports, analyzing key product and customer data, participating in meetings, and assisting the Sales department.
Our ideal intern will have a strong attention to detail, take direction well, and be a self-starter who is eager to learn. During your internship you'll gain hands-on experience working on challenging, meaningful projects with guidance from a mentor and other members of our team.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with cross-functional departments to create plans- accelerating sales with key customers
  • Analyze raw data and providing useful insights
  • Update documents, to include sales records
  • Reviewing sales performance against targets
  • Identifying potential weaknesses, while offering suggestions for process improvement

Experience you will gain:
  • An understanding of manufacturing and sales in the food industry
  • Exposure to various systems and processes, with opportunities to shadow a leader on our sales team
  • Active participation in projects allowing you to:
    • Establish relationships with peers and leaders
    • Learn fundamentals
    • Partner with a mentor while receiving feedback from your internship manager
    • Present to your peers, manager(s), and members of the Senior Leadership Team
  • High-level, but comprehensive understanding of our commercial organization

Qualifications:
  • Full-time student in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in business or related field, entering Junior or Senior class status
  • Requires an overall and within major GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Self-motivated and good communicator with the ability to communicate with broad groups of people
  • Teams, MS Office, PowerPoint, word, and excel experience/knowledge
