What you'll do:

  • Gain hands-on tax-related experience
  • Participate in the January Intern Training event to help you obtain the technical skills needed to start contributing right away
  • Receive on-the-job training and real-world experience working with clients; putting what you learned in the classroom to use
  • Have the opportunity to work directly with staff —from Associates to Partners— and learn directly from them
  • Prepare individual and business income tax returns
  • Conduct tax research and convey information to your supervisor
  • Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements to enable effective and informed decision-making
  • Demonstrate your work ethic, knowledge, and interest in joining Hawkins Ash CPAs full-time
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned


Our ideal candidate will:

  • Currently be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Have completed a corporate or individual taxation class
  • Actively be achieving credits to sit for the Certified Public Accountant exam
  • Have excellent skills in communication, organization, and attention to detail
  • Exhibit strong computer skills, especially proficient in Microsoft Office
