Job Summary
We are seeking an outgoing and energetic Tennis Coach to join our team! The Professional Tennis Coach is responsible for providing high-quality tennis instruction to players of all ages and skill levels, including juniors, adults, and seniors. This position requires passion about player development, create a welcoming and professional learning environment, and promote the values of David Ensignia Tennis academy, such as teamwork, discipline, and enjoyment through tennis. This position is a full-time job. The role demand professionalism, compromise with the tennis academy and engage with the rest of the team. 
Responsibilities 
  • Conduct private and group tennis lessons for juniors, adults, and seniors.
  • Lead clinics, team practices, and player development sessions across all age groups.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of tennis programs, tournaments, and special events.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and report participation as needed.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive court environment for all participants.
  • Represent DETA with professionalism on and off the court.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Pro or upper management.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience coaching tennis to children/students is preferred
  • Current certification from a recognized tennis organization (USTA, USPTA, or PTR required).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage players of all ages and skill levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in coaching youth and adults in a structured sports environment.
  • Passion for coaching with a growth-oriented and team-focused mindset.
  • Comfortable working with diverse populations, including under-resourced communities.
  • Familiarity with USTA, NJTL, and UTR programs and frameworks are a plus.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends, upon request.
  • High standards of professionalism, integrity, and work ethic.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Legal status, and must approved a background check.
