Job description

Job Title: COE-Outreach Assistant (FWS/NFWS)
Position Summary/Purpose:
The College of Education is looking for an Office Assistant to work on the Programs and Outreach team. This role relates directly to the operation of the college and allows for experience within a wide range of skills. This position will allow you develop your entrepreneurial talent and administrative skills in a real-world setting. Specifically looking for students with creative and graphic design abilities.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:
  • Support staff and faculty on special projects
  • Manage social media postings
  • Maintain weekly blog
  • Support office visitors and students
  • Assist in preparations for COE campus events
  • Other tasks as requested by faculty and staff of the college

Equipment Used and Responsibility:
  • MS Office
  • MS Teams
  • Excel

Qualifications:
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office applications, primarily Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Self-motivated, ability to be able to focus on task, able to multitask, and prioritize tasks
  • Social media management preferred
  • Basic graphic design skills preferred
  • Personable (may be asked to assist receptionist)
  • Self-starter and able to work independently and work as a team with other student workers
  • Route email communication
  • Assist with sending out communications
  • Assist with organization of program-level and course-level documents
  • Help Maintain SharePoint sites by uploading documents, updating content, and organizing resources
  • Assist with general administrative duties

Experience/Education:
Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.) as a Master level student
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
