RN Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP)

Location: Council Bluffs, IA Contract Type: Travel Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12 Nights Pay: $2,412/week Completion Bonus: $2,500 per contract (up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced LDRP RN for a 13-week travel assignment in a Level 1 maternal care unit. This unit primarily manages low-risk births, with occasional magnesium and gestational diabetes patients. Nurses must be comfortable with labor, delivery, and postpartum care. Epic charting is used. This is a clinical prescreen/auto-offer position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide care for laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients
  • Manage 1:1 labor assignments and 1:3 mom/baby couplets
  • Administer and monitor drips including insulin, magnesium, and Pitocin
  • Utilize Alaris IV pumps
  • Support patient education and postpartum care
  • Collaborate with charge nurses (who take assignments)
  • Document all care accurately in Epic EMR
Qualifications
  • Active Iowa RN license required
  • BLS (AHA) certification required
  • NRP certification required
  • Must be able to independently manage labor, delivery, and postpartum care
  • NICU experience preferred
  • Must pass open-book skills exam during orientation (90% required)
  • Must comply with artificial nail policy
  • Must meet 50-mile radius rule (Driver's license required at submission)
  • Cannot be employed with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity facilities
