Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner you will join our dynamic Psychiatric Associates team providing outpatient care in the Council Bluffs, IA area. The schedule is full-time, Monday-Friday 8am - 5pm with some flexibility. In addition there is a weekend inpatient rounding rotation.

In this role you will be part of a collaborative outpatient clinic that provides a wide variety of outpatient mental health services, including psychiatric evaluation and treatment, psychological testing, individual and family psychotherapy, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The group provides a team-based approach to care and includes nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, psychologists, and clinical social workers providing a range of services including outpatient, acute inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, addiction treating and residential programs. To be successful the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner excels by expertly balancing a productive practice, efficiently managing a caseload while delivering comprehensive, whole-person care that addresses both the mental and physical well-being. They actively contribute as a collaborative team player, fostering strong relationships with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and optimal patient outcomes.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Certified by the ANCC or AANP as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
  • Ability to work with both adult and adolescent populations
  • Active or Eligible to obtain an unrestricted license in Nebraska and Iowa
  • DEA in good standing with no restrictions in Nebraska and Iowa
  • BLS

Preferred

  • Minimum of 1-2 years providing direct client care to persons receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders
