The following position is to join our RTX Corporate team:


This position is for a commodity role on the Electronics Commodity team. This role will support both the Interconnected & Harness sub-categories. Responsibilities will be to develop an overall strategy for the relevant categories, partnering with internal stakeholders to identify sourcing needs/strategy, aligning with key suppliers, and sending quotes/completing contract negotiations to execute strategy. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops a strategic plan for a commodity and supply base

  • Collaborates with multiple business units to execute Supply Chain strategies

  • Owns and responsible for relationship with multiple strategic suppliers

  • Evaluates and selects supplier alignment based on price competitiveness, capability, quality, reliability (TCO)

  • Analyzes data and information to determine reasonable prices.

  • Negotiates and executes long term agreements with supply base that aligns with commodity strategy and internal stakeholders needs

  • Leads sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature

  • Works with limited oversight from leadership

  • Manages several projects at one time with a variety of complexity

  • Clearly communicate commodity or project status to leadership

  • Ability to identify and pursue VA/VE opportunities through collaboration with internal stakeholders

  • Lead change management or work transfer projects for cost savings or better alignment with supply base.

  • Influence and support Collins strategic initiatives and change management projects.

  • This individual will ideally sit near the Raytheon Technologies location in Charlotte, NC but can sit near any Raytheon Technologies domestic location. Travel Required: 15%

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

  • Strong Analytical skill (Excel, Access database, SAP)

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain practices and Commodity Management

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with Connectors or Harness Assembly

  • Results in negotiation, work transfer, or project execution

  • Negotiations skills

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
