Job Title: Buyer Team LeadJob Description
The Buyer Team Lead provides day-to-day guidance and mentoring to the buyer team, ensuring plant material availability and inventory requirements are balanced and aligned with production needs. The role supports and executes supply chain strategies in partnership with commodity management, while tracking and supporting performance metrics related to procurement and buying activities in the plant.
Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to the buyer team.
  • Ensure plant material availability and inventory requirements are balanced with production needs.
  • Support and execute supply chain strategies with commodity management.
  • Track and support performance metrics related to procurement and buying activities.
  • Own supplier relationships and manage supply chain performance.
  • Generate and manage purchase orders in SAP.
  • Proactively resolve material shortages and delivery risks.
  • Drive supplier KPIs and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Support supplier setup and qualification.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement tools and guidelines.
  • Lead non-conformance resolution with quality and engineering teams.
Essential Skills
  • Purchasing and supervision experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in procurement or supply chain.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Strong communication and Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Customer-focused, collaborative, and adaptable.
  • Self-starter with problem-solving and decision-making skills.
