Job description

The Facilities Engineering & Commissioning Intern will support the operation, startup, and optimization of critical facility systems within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role provides hands-on exposure to complex infrastructure systems and commissioning processes, while developing foundational knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities:
  • Train on core facilities engineering principles across mechanical, electrical, wastewater, ultrapure water (UPW), and controls systems.
  •  Assist in the commissioning and startup activities of facility systems to ensure operational readiness and performance compliance.
  •  Perform issue tracking and management within commissioning software platforms, including documentation, escalation, and resolution follow-up.
  •  Support cross-functional teams in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving system deficiencies during commissioning phases.
  •  Participate in system walkthroughs, inspections, and functional testing activities.
  •  Maintain accurate records of commissioning activities, issues, and system performance data.
  •  Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and technicians to support project milestones and system handover.
  •  Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
Skills Required:
  • Interest in facilities systems, infrastructure engineering, or semiconductor manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and a genuine willingness to learn.
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles (mechanical, electrical, or process systems preferred).
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively in a team environment.
Education / Licenses / Certifications
  • Must currently be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Recent graduates ranging from Dec 2025 - May 2026 are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable
