Wire Harness Assembly Technician- Level II
POSITION SUMMARY:
Level II Technicians will primarily be responsible for building assemblies ranging from intermediate to complex wire harnesses. Technicians II will be expected to have a wide knowledge of hand tools and machines to complete various tasks.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or work instructions to perform required tasks to complete a portion of, or entire assembly.
  • Maintain work area compliance to all Standards including but not limited to; all required materials are to be labeled and properly stored; each work area used must be cleaned after use; all tools are to be put away when not in use; Work Order packets are to remain with their corresponding jobs with all documents accounted for.
  • Comply with all ElectriPack standard building procedures including but not limited to; First Piece Inspections, Mid-Process Inspections, Work in Progress Documentation, and Electronic Labor Tracking.
  • Packaging finished products and organizing them for shipments
  • Completing checks on equipment and products to ensure quality production
  • Actively participate in all required training
  • Regular attendance at work
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Show initiative

Requirements
Required:
  • Must be performing "At the Bar" or greater
  • Scanning in and out of work orders correctly (%)
  • Create and Printing Labels
  • Completes work orders under quoted times
  • Less than 20% Rework Rate
  • Level 2 Hand Crimping Training
  • PICO Crimper Training
  • Level 1 AMP Press Training
  • Level 1 Sonic Welder Training
  • Heatshrink Cutter Training
  • Fully Cross-trained in one other area of the wire harness assembly production area
  • Must have achieved IPC/WMMA 620 Certification
