Job description

Senior Survey Project Manager overseeing a diverse portfolio of survey projects across boundary, topographic, and construction domains. Leads and mentors a multidisciplinary team while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Drives client relationships, business development, and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of survey projects, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery and quality compliance.
  2. Lead and mentor project managers, surveyors, CAD technicians, and field crews, fostering technical growth and cohesion.
  3. Serve as client liaison, ensuring satisfaction, clear scope, and proactive communication; craft proposals per client requests.
  4. Oversee survey methodologies, quality control, and regulatory compliance; provide strategic guidance on best practices.
  5. Act as knowledge resource, mentoring junior staff and promoting knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

  • Colorado PLS license (required)
  • High school diploma or technical school education in surveying technology—or equivalent experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in survey project management or leadership role
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, coach talent, and work cross-functionally with internal departments and external clients
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Experience with business development, proposal writing, and billings/invoice review
  • Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other survey software
