Job description

Title: Technical Project Manager

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Can be hybrid / on-site)

Hire Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Governance: Define project scope, goals, and precise technical deliverables in cooperation with client''''s leadership.
  • Schedule & Cost Control: Maintain detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC), and generate capital project cash flow reports.
  • Technical Oversight: Oversee hardware/software integration, signal systems, and technical specifications, ensuring adherence to Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) regulations.
  • Risk & Compliance Management: Monitor technical risks, build mitigation templates, and review test/inspection documentation for regulatory compliance.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Lead regular cross-functional meetings with contractors, consultants, and internal departments (Finance, Safety, Operations).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor''''s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 5 to 8+ years of progressive technical project management experience, preferably within rail transit, heavy civil infrastructure, or complex public works.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project) and Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) like e-Builder or Unifier.
  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Reference/Professional) or similar designation is strongly preferred.
