Job description

Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (L&D) and Postpartum

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Labor & Delivery (L&D) and Postpartum units. The ideal candidate will provide care for mothers and their newborns in a fast-paced environment, which averages 40 deliveries and 6 C-sections per month. Responsibilities may include covering as charge nurse after completing charge nurse training, as required.

12-Hour Day shift. Flexibility to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Deliver high-quality patient care during labor, delivery, and postpartum.

Monitor mother and newborn during recovery and provide education on breastfeeding and newborn care.

Occasionally assume charge nurse responsibilities when trained.

Perform necessary assessments and interventions in a timely manner.

Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Minimum of 5 years recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care.

Certifications: AHA ACLS or ALSO, BLS, NRP and AWHONN Advanced FHM required. RNC-EFM may be substituted for AWHONN FHM.
