Job description

About the Role

Eden Tech is seeking Mechanical Engineers with deep expertise in rotating machinery, structural analysis, vibratory analysis, CFD, and high-speed mechanical systems. These are foundational hires who will work directly on the design, analysis, simulation, and validation of our Reverse Osmosis Centrifuge; a safety-critical, high-RPM system operating under significant pressure and rotational loads. You will work closely with our engineering team throughout the pilot phase and into commercial scale-up.

What You Will Do

  • Lead structural and dynamic analysis of the ROC system, including vibration, fatigue, and containment design

  • Develop and run mechanical simulations (FEA, CFD, rotordynamics) to validate design assumptions

  • Analytically confirm the validity of simulation results

  • Design and iterate on high-speed rotating components including shafts, housings, bearings, seals, and pressure vessels

  • Support prototype builds and pilot deployments, resolving field mechanical issues

  • Collaborate with electrical and software engineers on system integration and control interfaces

  • Define test protocols, analyze test data, and drive design improvements based on results

  • Maintain design documentation, drawings, and engineering change records

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with high-speed rotating machinery such as centrifuges, turbomachinery, pumps, compressors, or flywheels

  • Strong background in rotordynamics, vibration analysis, fatigue design, and containment

  • Proficiency with FEA and simulation tools (ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, or equivalent)

  • Experience with pressure vessel design and relevant codes (ASME or equivalent)

  • Comfortable working in a startup environment with hands-on prototype involvement

  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering; advanced degree preferred

  • Priority given to candidates with a PE license

Nice to Have

  • Experience in oil and gas, water treatment, or desalination applications

  • Familiarity with membrane separation or filtration systems

  • Experience designing for harsh or field-deployed environments

Compensation Range: $130K - $170K
