Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to meet diverse patient needs.
  • Provide crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, ensuring appropriate support and management for patients in distress.
  • Educate patients on the interconnectedness of mental and physical health, empowering them to actively engage in their treatment and recovery process.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring that patient information is protected.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and assist in interdisciplinary care planning.
  • Stay informed on recent research, best practices, and advancements in integrated care methodologies to continuously improve service quality.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals who have a variety of mental health needs, particularly those experiencing co-occurring medical conditions such as autoimmune disorders, chronic pain, and substance use issues. Your efforts will help them navigate their mental health journeys, contributing to enhanced overall health and quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems and familiarity with computer applications used for patient care documentation.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to address the mental health needs of individuals with complex medical conditions.
  • Experience in providing both individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidenced-based approaches.
