Position Overview

The Positive Progress Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively communicating with families and serving as their main point of contact throughout the therapeutic process.
  • Facilitating individual, family, and group therapy sessions in alignment with the Attachment-Based Family Therapy model and our clinical framework.
  • Conducting Family Orientations, Welcome Presentations, and facilitating Family Support Groups to engage and support families in their healing journey.
  • Completing thorough documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, group notes, and discharge summaries, in a timely manner adhering to established standards.
  • Entering and maintaining accurate electronic health records, utilizing tools like EMR software, Microsoft Outlook for email and calendaring, and other online learning platforms.
  • Participating in weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and supervision sessions to ensure cohesive care and professional development.
  • Representing the organization in various meetings, trainings, and conferences as needed, demonstrating our commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Independently managing your schedule to meet client and organizational goals efficiently.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with adolescents and young adults facing a range of challenges, including mental health issues, substance abuse, eating disorders, and the effects of trauma. As you facilitate therapy sessions, your empathetic approach will guide clients towards sustainable healing while building their resilience and coping strategies.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution, or active enrollment in a Doctoral program.
  • Active board registration as APCC, LAPC, ASW, AMFT, or as a Psychologic Associate in the state of Florida where services will be provided.
  • Proven experience in individual, group, and family therapy, especially with adolescent and young adult populations.
Preferred Experience
  • Familiarity with treating mental health disorders, substance abuse issues, eating disorders, or delivering trauma-informed care is highly desired.
  • Experience in coordinating with families and engaging them in the therapeutic process.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, along with a competitive sign-on bonus. Additional benefits include:
