Job Details
Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following temporary position: Men's Club Basketball Coach in the University Recreation.

Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and two (2) years of coaching experience.
Preferred: Basketball playing experience and experience in a leadership role.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Establish team roster
• Conduct practices
• Productive game management
• Provide team supervision during travel
• Establish behavioral objectives and student leadership development
Temporary staff position. (TP0632/NS01471P). Pay is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Work days and hours vary. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficient knowledge of all aspects of the game of basketball, capability to instruct club student-athletes and increase their athletic performance, knowledge of National Club Basketball Association rules and regulations, strong written and interpersonal communication skills in order to interact with students, parents, alumni, and university recreation administrators.

Working Conditions
The person in this position must be able to commit to attend all scheduled practices and games. Weekend travel to competitions is routine, with overnight trips varying depending on travel distance. This work requires that an individual position themselves to be accessible to referees, team, and important essential during games. The person in this position needs to adapt well in the face of workplace stressors such a student or team complaint, maintaining the safety of the team, and competing priorities of reasonable or high significance to the successful function of the team.
