Officials and Scorekeepers - 4th Annual Seattle Street Sports Showdown
  • Job Location - 6th Ave between Blanchard & Virginia - Seattle, WA (free parking provided)

  • Position Type - Weekend role (We are also interested in meeting you if you're looking for longer-term, part-time work)

  • Full Pay Range - $22.00-27.00/hr (depending on experience)

  • Schedule:

  • Saturday, August 8th - 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

  • 3x3 Basketball Tournament (ages 7-14)

  • 3x3 Street Hockey Tournament (ages 7-10)

  • Sunday, August 9th - 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

  • 3x3 & 4x4 Soccer Tournament (ages 7-14)

  • 3x3 Street Hockey Tournament (ages 11-14)

If you have any experience playing Basketball, Soccer, or Street Hockey and have a fundamental knowledge of the rules of any of these games, please join us as a Referee or Scorekeeper for the 4th Annual Seattle Street Sports Showdown. Training will be provided. No prior experience or sports knowledge required to be a scorekeeper.
The Seattle Street Sports Showdown is a youth sports tournament. It is a City of Seattle Downtown Activation Plan event hosted by Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks & Recreation (SPR). The first two year featured youth basketball tournaments. Last year, we included soccer and this year, street hockey is an exciting new addition,
  • Referee duties and responsibilities include:

  • Referee basketball, soccer, and/or street hockey games featuring teams of youth aged 7-14 (tournament rules will be provided)

  • Facilitate a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants

  • Referee requirements include:

  • Must be 16+ years of age

  • Must have a fundamental knowledge of the rules and regulations of the sport they are officiating (experience preferred, but not required)

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check

  • Scorekeeper duties and responsibilities include:

  • Must be 15+ years of age

  • Accurately keep score and manage the game clock

  • Facilitate a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants
