Job Summary
This position is responsible for leading our effort to develop transmission utility products and service capabilities, manage projects, build relationships, ensure best practices, and develop the business to contribute to the overall success of the MPS company.
Job Duties
  • Assist in the development & execution of the GTM strategy for transmission products at utility, EPC and packager accounts for the benefit of MPS market gain
  • Coach and direct the work of an internal & external sales team
  • Contribute to annual budgets and adjusted forecasts for transmission products
  • Track & report performance against expectations, ensuring that established revenue goals are met
  • Manage the collaboration with product teams on testing needs, specification position, & overall opportunity advancement at all utilities & potential customer accounts
  • Develop deep relationships with Key Influencers at all levels of EPC, Utility, & Packagers to ensure MPS product is included and preferred for all projects being launched by utility companies
  • Work through contracts and terms with potential & existing customers
  • Provide competitive assessments, product or sales training or pricing and contracting assistance to the external sales team
  • Assist marketing, enablement or related departments in promoting the organization's products or services through Sales Campaigns
  • Provide sales forecasts or related reports to senior management for use in strategic planning
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education
  • Has extensive experience in the utility market, managing project and business pipelines
  • Lead and direct the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management and termination
  • Contribute to strategic planning, direction and goal setting for the department or function in collaboration with senior management
  • Establish departmental policies, practices and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization
  • Typically require a bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of experience, including some prior management experience
