Experienced Aesthetic Physician Assistant


Full-Time or Part-Time | Offering flexible hours  - Established Patient Base and growing

Melbourne, Viera, and Merritt Island, FL - position requires travel to all 3 offices as scheduled

Our office hours vary by location - 8am -7pm Mon - Friday; 9am - 7pm Saturday and 11am - 7pm Sunday (Viera office)

We are growing and adding a Viera location - 3 openings to meet our patient demand 

Compensation varies by Experience - Hourly plus productivity bonus

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in plastic surgery or dermatology offices, strong computer skills, and familiarity with EMR systems. The ideal candidate is professional, compassionate, efficient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.

Job Summary:

Clevens Face and Body Specialists is seeking skilled and compassionate Physician Assistants to join our team of plastic surgeons and healthcare professionals. The PA will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, performing clinical assessments, performing asethetic treatments, and managing pre-operative and post-operative care for our patients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced surgeons and contribute to the delivery of outstanding surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities:                                                                                                                      

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history, physical examination, and review of diagnostic tests and imaging studies.
  • Evaluate and safely perform aesthetic treatments including neurotoxin and filler injectables, lasers such as CO2, non-ablative, IPL, laser hair removal, radio-frequency and more. Deliver cutting edge technology and deliver excellent patient outcomes. 
  • Assist in surgical procedures, including but not limited to pre-operative preparation, intra-operative assistance, and post-operative wound care, as needed.
  • Provide patient education and counseling regarding treatment options, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes of surgical procedures.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures and treatments, such as suture removal, wound care, and scar management.
  • Evaluate and manage pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients, including pain management, wound assessment, and follow-up appointments.
  • Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including surgeons, nurses, and administrative staff, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient encounters, clinical assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and comprehensively in electronic health records (EHR) system.
  • Participate in quality improvement, including patient reviews, clinical outcome monitoring, and adherence to clinical protocols and guidelines.
  • Stay abreast of advances in plastic surgery techniques, technologies, and research, participating in continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality and privacy standards in handling patient information and medical records.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a surgical or procedural setting performing aesthetic treatments, preferably in plastic surgery or a related field.
  • Strong clinical skills, including proficiency in performing physical examinations, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and staff members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dedication to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
