Job description

Seeking a highly motivated, self-driven, and detail-oriented Landscape Maintenance Foreman that can oversee a crew. The qualified candidate will follow company policies/procedures and ensure that daily jobs are completed within allotted schedule. Accurate administration and record keeping of daily timesheets and equipment inventories a must. Highly reliable attendance and attention to landscaping detail required. Valid Florida driver's license with Company insurance qualification a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete scheduled work, direct and delegate to crew members their responsibilities and activities on the job site, coordinate work
Operate, clean and inspect landscape equipment and report any deficiencies to the shop
Train and direct landscape Crew Members to perform all tasks of landscape services
Supervision of crew using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in compliance with OSHA safety standards including company/safety policies, proper lifting techniques, and heat stress prevention.
Follow federal, state and local regulations regarding use, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials
Share in the overall organization and cleanliness of landscape equipment, vehicles and facility
Must maintain professional appearance and actions with Company personnel and customers.
Job Requirements:
Ability to lift, push, pull, carry (50 pounds) and stand, kneel and/or bend for long periods of time.
Ability to withstand exposure to outside weather conditions: humidity, rain, hot and cold temperatures.
Must be able to:
  • Work full time, may include weekends and holidays.
  • Provide proper documentation of authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be punctual and maintain excellent attendance record.
  • Properly and safely operate landscape/irrigation tools (gas-powered equipment)
  • Identify commonly used plants, trees and turf types and their watering needs.
  • Use hand tools including rakes, shovels, pruners, augers, tillers and cultivators.
  • Install or remove sod, spread mulch, fertilizers and soil amendments.
  • Install edging material: wood, steel, stone or composite.
  • Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and ground covers.
  • Properly hand water sod, shrubs, trees, and ground covers.
  • Lead and direct crew member activities and work sequencing.
  • Manage budgeted man hours per job and report route completions and timesheets.
  • Communicate equipment, labor and material requests to management.
  • Identify utility location before digging and report work hazards to management on all job sites.
