We are searching for an On-Call Coordinator for our brand new Glendale office. The On-Call Coordinator’s role is to assure the quality of services to clients is being met, coordinate day-to-day operations of the program, and recommend and implement changes that would improve the delivery of services. They will provide direct service counseling, on-going counseling, prevention services, and education services to adults, families, and youth. The On-Call Coordinator is expected to directly supervise clinical staff such as Crisis Therapists and Specialists.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist manager with crisis department on-call coordinator duties which include staffing crisis calls with mobile teams and all department staff. 
  • Comply with and assure compliance by staff with the agency's standard of care for service delivery. Assist with Quality Management, Quality Assurance, and Utilization Review as assigned by management. 
  • Ensure quality service delivery including clinical care and all associated documentation. Maintain all client records in accordance with agency policies and procedures. This includes appropriate phone documentation, intake documentation, endangerment triaging, treatment planning, referral triaging, risk planning, termination documentation, interagency reports, and follow-up documentation. 
  • Provide comprehensive services to clients and coordinate communication with other departments in the agency to accomplish continuity of care. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all related state, community behavioral health, and contracting organizations. 
  • Provide instruction and training for staff and interns. 
  • Take an active role in standing and ad hoc committees and work groups as assigned by the Manager or Director of Programs.

On-Call Coordinator Shift Requirements: 

  • Provide and deliver at least 3 days of on-call duties during the month. 
  • Required to be on-call for one EMPACT holiday a year. This will be a day shift, (8am-8pm). This will be handled on a rotating basis with other On-Call Coordinators. 
  • Evening and night hours may be required. 


What you’ll provide:

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
  • Must be licensed by AzBBHE with LAC, LAMFT, LMSW, and LSAC or higher.
  • Experience in working EMPACT-SPC mobile teams and be familiar with EMPACT-SPC crisis protocols and procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent time management skills; be able to meet deadlines and timely documentation.
  • Detail Oriented and strong organization skills
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in the community independently. 
  • Strong internal and external customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm in crisis situations, work independently and cooperatively, recognize personal limitations, and relate positively and with empathy to all persons regardless of age, race, creed, gender, or sexual orientation. 
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and positive working relationships with internal and external team members, stakeholders, and community and business partners.
  • Maintain compliance with required training.
  • A fingerprint clearance card is a requirement of employment.


What you’ll experience:

  • The typical work environment will be working in an office environment or working out in the community.
  • Employees must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • This position requires the candidate to be 21 years old or older at time of employment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
  • Occasional travel to training and out-of-state locations may occur as-needed.
  • Possibility to work from home may be necessary.
