Our client is a North American manufacturer of engineered, ruggedized Marine systems used in demanding government and commercial environments. The business is wellcapitalized and scaling, with leadership investing in disciplined Salesforce forecasting, AIenabled workflows, and capture excellence. This role will be reestablishing a hightouch presence with federal maritime stakeholders.
The Opportunity
Own federal maritime business development across the US East Coast-especially US Coast Guard (primary), US Navy program offices, and primes/integrators. You'll work multiyear capture cycles, influence specifications early, build teaming arrangements, and run a clean, evidencebased forecast in Salesforce.
Responsibilities
Hunt and develop federal programs: engage USCG/USN stakeholders and primes/integrators; drive preRFQ positioning, demos/pilots, and specin influence.
Build capture plans with clear stakeholder maps, gate reviews, and measurable progression; maintain pipeline hygiene and validated financials in Salesforce.
Partner with Engineering/PM to prepare proposals, certifications, and compliance artifacts.
Represent the company at industry events (e.g., SeaAirSpace, SNA); travel ~50% inandout for stakeholder availability.
Requirements
Direct military/defense maritime sales experience (USCG/USN procurement fluency).
Proven hunter behavior with longcycle capture and specin wins.
Salesforce discipline (stages, hygiene, forecast accuracy).
Polished, conservative executive presence and high integrity; strong teaming with primes/integrators.
DC/DMV residence strongly preferred; ability to travel ~50%.
Success Looks Like
Accurate, defensible federal forecasts and repeatable gate progression.

Increased specin positions and steady proposal throughput.
