Job description

Kenda Tire is a leading manufacturer of wheels and tires for ATV, bicycle, golf, industrial, light truck, mobility, motorcycle, passenger car, trailer, and utility applications. In addition to a comprehensive portfolio of Kenda-brand retail products, we supply fleet volumes of wheels and tires to some of the world's largest vehicle manufacturers. Our Reynoldsburg, Ohio, location is home to Kenda USA, which manages all aspects of Kenda’s North American operations.

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on network engineer. The position will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Kenda Tire's IT infrastructure and network security. Candidates will be working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and will have a desire to learn new technologies that will enhance and promote operational efficiency within Kenda Tire.

**This is an on-site position.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience required
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining servers, networks, and other related IT systems

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, routing and network troubleshooting
  • Strong network and cybersecurity best experience
  • Experience implementing and administrating firewalls, switches, routing, storage area and wireless access networks
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • Experience with Windows Server 2019-2025 and Microsoft 365 suite
  • Strong critical thinking, decision making, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask

    Preferred

  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama
  • VMware administration experience
  • Remote Management and Monitoring tools
  • Professional certification, such as CCNA, Network +, Security +

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads the design, implementation, and ongoing support for such technologies as storage, virtualization, and networking infrastructure

  • Build and implement project plans for infrastructure systems and related enterprise software and hardware implementations, ongoing monitoring, support, and upgrades

  • Oversee and ensure the effectiveness of all infrastructure systems, hardware components, and associated operating systems and software

  • Provide project management for various infrastructure activities, including upgrades, implementations, and migrations, offering technical direction and user support as needed

  • Create and maintain IT documentation

  • Be a resource for escalated tickets

  • Network monitoring

  • Other IT duties as assigned
