Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically strong C++/Pyspark Developer with Mortgage Risk to support the implementation, optimization, and integration of mortgage risk models. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in C++, Python, and data engineering, along with a strong understanding of risk and simulation modeling. In this role, you will work closely with the Risk Modelling Team to translate complex mortgage risk models into production‑ready systems, build supporting tools and GUIs, and ensure seamless model execution across multiple environments including QA, UAT, and Production.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 7+ years of hands‑on C++ development experience with strong proficiency in modern C++ standards.
  • Strong experience with Python and data processing frameworks (e.g., PySpark).
  • Robust database expertise—SQL and platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.
  • Experience with grid computing technologies for large‑scale model runs.
  • Solid background in integration, software development, and/or infrastructure engineering.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture and how data moves across upstream and downstream systems.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication, teamwork, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including interaction with senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with exceptional analytical, problem‑solving, and multitasking capabilities.
  • Experience with SDLC processes and tools such as Jira, HP Quality Center, etc.
  • Familiarity with both waterfall and agile development methodologies.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently as well as within teams.
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
Desired Skills
  • Prior experience in the financial services industry, particularly in Market Risk or related risk modeling areas.
Key Responsibilities
  • Implement mortgage risk models developed in Python into C++ for scalable and efficient production usage.
  • Support model execution and monitoring across QA, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Collaborate with the Risk Modelling Team to fully understand mathematical and functional aspects of the models.
  • Design and develop user interfaces and tools around the models to streamline usability and analysis.
  • Ensure smooth integration of risk model components within broader system architecture and data pipelines.
  • Work closely with upstream and downstream teams to ensure proper data flow and system interoperability.
  • Participate in SDLC activities, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance across computing environments.
  • Work in both independent and collaborative team settings to ensure timely and high‑quality deliveries.
