Job description

Position Overview

A growing organization in the chemical manufacturing and distribution space is seeking a results-driven Sales Representative / Account Manager to support and expand business within the oil & gas sector. This role will focus on developing new business, managing key accounts, and driving revenue growth by supplying raw materials, chemicals, and related products to upstream, midstream, and downstream clients.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the oil & gas value chain, experience selling technical or chemical products, and thrives in a high-performance, relationship-driven sales environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow a territory by targeting oil & gas operators, service companies, and industrial clients
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities while expanding existing accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement teams, engineers, and operations leaders
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and quoting to closing and account management
  • Provide technical product recommendations based on customer applications and requirements
  • Coordinate with internal teams (operations, logistics, supply chain) to ensure timely delivery and service
  • Track sales pipeline, forecasts, and customer activity using CRM/ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
  • Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, and competitor activity within the oil & gas sector
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of B2B sales, account management, or business development experience
  • Experience selling into the oil & gas industry is required
  • Background in chemicals, raw materials, or industrial products preferred
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage a territory and work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems (NetSuite a plus)
  • Willingness to travel within assigned territory

Preferred Experience
  • Experience selling specialty chemicals, additives, or raw materials used in oil & gas operations
  • Familiarity with upstream, midstream, and downstream applications
  • Established network within oil & gas operators, refineries, or service companies
