Amergis Healthcare Staffing, Inc.-Allied is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Boston, Massachusetts.

NICU Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Assignment
Location: Beth Israel Lahey Health, MA
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP (4 weeks for compliance)
Schedule: 36 hours/week, rotating shifts or all nights available. Every third weekend required.
Openings: 2

Position Overview

The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides respiratory care, pulmonary therapy, and rehabilitation services under the direction of a physician. This role focuses on assessing, treating, and managing patients with cardiopulmonary disorders across various healthcare settings. For this assignment, candidates will primarily support a Level II and III NICU/Special Care Nursery within a birthing hospital.

Compensation
Estimated Weekly Pay Package: $2,844/week
Housing Stipend: $1,650/week
Meals & Incidentals: $644/week
Required Qualifications
Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist license
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
Recent NICU experience required
NRP certification required
AHA BLS/CPR certification required
Experience with artificial airways, mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and aerosolized medications
Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
Previous Beth Israel Lahey Health employees or per diem staff must be separated from the facility for at least 6 months
Preferred Qualifications
Delivery room experience
Additional pediatric respiratory experience
Responsibilities
Perform and interpret respiratory diagnostic tests and procedures
Manage respiratory care plans in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
Administer respiratory therapies and protocols independently
Provide respiratory support for neonatal patients in a Level II/III NICU environment
Assist with ventilator management, airway care, oxygen therapy, and emergency neonatal respiratory interventions
