Job description

McGrath Acura of Downtown Chicago is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our high-volume service department.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants the opportunity to earn $100,000+ per year.

Previous dealership Service Advisor experience is preferred, but not required. We provide training for the right candidate.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for service customers
  • Greet customers and discuss their vehicle’s maintenance and repair needs
  • Explain recommended services, repair options, pricing, and timelines
  • Prepare and manage repair orders throughout the service process
  • Communicate customer concerns and requests clearly to technicians
  • Keep customers updated on repair progress and any changes to recommendations, costs, or completion times
  • Present maintenance and repair recommendations in a helpful, professional manner
  • Schedule service appointments and assist with customer questions
  • Follow vehicles from service write-up through completion and delivery
  • Ensure completed work meets customer expectations
  • Resolve customer questions, concerns, or service issues professionally
  • Maintain strong knowledge of dealership services, maintenance schedules, and current promotions
  • Build lasting customer relationships that encourage repeat and referral business
Qualifications
  • Previous automotive dealership Service Advisor experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong customer service, communication, and sales skills
  • Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Comfortable using computers and dealership systems
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy service department
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Positive, professional attitude and appearance
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance
  • High school diploma or equivalent
