Job description

The Collections Representative position will provide our new hire with a uniquely experiential opportunity to immerse themselves in the day-to-day bustle of a prestigious legal group’s Collections Department. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and ready to handle consumer interactions. Consumer interactions consist of negotiating repayment plans, answering questions, and arranging for payments. We are seeking a candidate that has experience with, or is eager to learn about, the legal and collection processes. We provide a robust training program to prepare call center representatives to immediately handle calls and provide a professional customer experience. This position is not remote. This role is an in office position at the Plantation, FL office location.


Work Environment

  • Inbound Calls and some outbound calls
  • No Skip tracing

  • Works generally at a desk in a well-lighted, air-conditioned cubicle/office, with moderate noise levels.
  • Mondays to Fridays, shift options below
    • 8:00am to 5:00pm ( 1 hour lunch)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Efficiently assist customers through both inbound (90%) and outbound (10%) calls while educating them on their options for account resolution
  • Develop a trusted relationship with customers, third parties, attorneys, representatives, realtors, etc. to ensure timely handling of all accounts through the collections process
  • Maintain detailed document records of all customer communications including payment plans that customers have agreed to and amounts paid via telephone
  • Ensure the prompt and successful delivery of solutions according to customer and client needs
  • Clearly communicate the progress of accounts and their respective status within the collections pipeline
  • Demonstrate exceptional listening skills, while displaying professionalism and empathy for our customers’ individual needs and circumstances
