ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary: 

  • Apply skill in dealing individual games. Provide prompt, accurate and courteous service to playing guests, in accordance with standard procedure. 
  • Handle guest transactions for "buy-ins" and "pay-offs". 
  • Verify fill and credits for the game. 
  • Notify Floorperson of any irregularities in guest play and transactions during the shift. 
  • Take losing bets and pay winning bets according to established rules and procedures. 
  • Provide courteous and friendly service to all staff and guests. 
  • Perform related work as requested. 
  • Adhere to Title 31 Gaming Regulations as applicable to the Casino Department. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS   

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age. 

  • Proven knowledge, experience, and proficiency in dealing table games. 
  • High School Diploma or GED and some college level 
  • Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, confident and well groomed manner 
  • Ability to deal with guests 
  • Full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, regulations, policies and procedures. 
  • Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.  

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                    

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS  

Ability to read and interpret documents In English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS  

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills. 

REASONING ABILITY  

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
