Can you work for an airline as a commission flight nurse?

Commission flight nurses typically work for medical transport companies or air ambulance services rather than airlines. They are responsible for providing in-flight medical care during patient transfers and usually require specialized certifications such as Critical Care or Flight Nurse credentials. Working directly for an airline as a flight nurse is uncommon, as airlines generally do not employ medical personnel in this capacity.

How much money do commission flight nurses make?

Commission flight nurses typically earn between $70,000 and $120,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and the employer. Compensation often includes base pay plus per-flight or per-hour commissions, with additional benefits for working in high-pressure, emergency environments.
