Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time available

Compensation: $18.00 – $30.00 / hour + Commission (DOE)

We are looking for a dedicated, highly skilled Custom Cabinet Maker to join our talented shop team in Paramount, CA. Position Overview

We are seeking a versatile and experienced woodworker who can handle the complete production lifecycle—from reading shop drawings to cutting, assembly, and hardware installation. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience in a custom shop environment, a mastery of woodworking machinery, and the ability to fabricate a wide variety of styles to our exacting standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Fabrication & Construction: Accurately cut, build, and assemble a diverse range of custom cabinet styles and millwork products.
  • Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation: Read, understand, and translate shop drawings (sketches and/or computer-drawn plans), blueprints, specifications, and cut lists into finished products.
  • Machine Operation: Safely and efficiently operate various woodworking machinery and tools, including table saws, panel saws, band saws, wide-belt sanders, planers, jointers, and hand tools.
  • Jig Building: Demonstrate proficiency in custom jig building to streamline production and ensure precision.
  • Hardware & Finishing: Expertly install all required cabinet hardware. (Note: Finishing skills are a major plus!)
  • Safety & Quality Control: Strictly adhere to all company safety standards, policies, and guidelines while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
  • Material Handling: Safely lift and move heavy objects, including plywood sheet goods, lumber, and heavy cabinet boxes.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in custom cabinet making, fine woodworking, or a closely related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proven expertise in cutting, assembly, and operating heavy woodworking machinery.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with team members and management.
  • Attitude: A positive, team-player mentality who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic shop environment.
  • Forklift Certification: Preferred.
  • Reliability: Must possess reliable transportation to and from the Paramount, CA facility.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials regularly.
