Location: Floater, Northern Virginia (Vienna, Fairfax Station, Annandale, Great Falls)
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 12:00pm-8:00pm or Friday-Monday 10:00am-8:00pm
Job Type: In-Person. Must be willing to travel to our various residential facilities in the area.

Position Overview

AMFM Healthcare is seeking Clinical Group Facilitators to lead therapeutic group sessions at our residential mental health facilities in Northern Virginia. In this role, you will guide clients through evidence-based practices, helping them develop the skills necessary for long-term stability and recovery. Ideal candidates will have experience facilitating groups in CBT, DBT, Trauma, Psychodrama, or other mental health modalities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices.

  • Work with acute clients experiencing co-occurring mood disorders, substance use, and suicidal ideation.

  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and Virginia Licensing Standards.

  • Provide therapeutic interventions and create individualized care plans with measurable objectives.

  • Document client progress, develop transition and discharge plans, and maintain accurate clinical records.

  • Assist in crisis intervention and act as a point of contact for families regarding clinical care.

  • Participate in staff meetings, quality management initiatives, and training programs.

  • Adhere to ethical standards, legal guidelines, and AMFM Healthcare’s policies and procedures.

Qualifications
  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a clinically related field (Required). Master's level preferred.

  • Preferred Credentials:

    • Resident in Counseling, Supervisee of Social Work, any associate level therapist.

    • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), LPC.

  • Experience:

    • Leading group therapy sessions (process, psychoeducational, etc.).

    • Working with individuals struggling with mental health and addiction issues.

  • Additional Requirements:

    • Registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling or Virginia Department of Health Professions.

    • Successful completion of a Criminal Background Check and required screenings.

    • Physical ability to sit for long periods, use a computer, and lift up to 10 lbs.
