Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Graduate or specialty degree preferred
  • 7 years' experience
  • 5 years supervisory experience (if applicable)
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally

Essential Function and Primary Duties

Resource Planning and Deployment

  • Manage staffing and scheduling across assigned offices and service lines.
  • Assign professionals to engagements based on skills, availability, and business priorities.
  • Facilitate regular staffing discussions with Partners and Managers to plan upcoming work, address capacity, and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Promote cross-regional and firmwide sharing of resources to support utilization goals.


Utilization Monitoring and Reporting

  • Monitor staff hours, workload, and utilization metrics, identifying trends and risks.
  • Deliver accurate and timely reports, forecasts, dashboards, and variance analyses to leadership.
  • Maintain resource data within staffing systems, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business needs.

Workforce Planning and Business Insights

  • Build strong understanding of professional skills, experience levels, certifications, and career interests.
  • Analyze upcoming demand and workload forecasts to support hiring decisions and operational planning.
  • Make informed staffing recommendations based on project requirements, timing, business priorities, and strategic goals.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication

  • Develop productive relationships with Partners, Managers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate staffing issues, risks, and opportunities proactively and professionally.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and support balanced workload distribution.

Process and Systems Optimization

  • Work regularly with resource management systems and technology tools.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, enhance data visibility, and streamline processes.
  • Support strategic initiatives, special projects, and ad hoc reporting as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience in professional services (audit, assurance, tax, or resource management).
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Prior experience in workforce planning or managing high-volume staffing demands in a matrixed environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros), PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with resource management systems or workforce planning tools; experience with ProStaff Resource Scheduling Software is highly preferred.
  • Power BI experience is also a plus.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and understand utilization metrics.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Integrity, sound judgment, professionalism, and a collaborative mindset.
