Job description

EEG Technician

Job Title: EEG Technician

Profession: Operations

Specialty: Medical Group Operations

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Night

Shift Hours per Shift: 8

Experience: Minimum 2 years

License: Not specified

Certifications: BLS, EEG certification (unless grandfathered in from experience)

Must-Have: Neonatal experience Electrode placement Prepping patients Recording/measuring Pattern recognition Wrapping head for continuous EEG

Description: Job requires working with a diverse patient population. Patient types include neonates up to geriatric patients. Conditions treated include seizures, strokes, gunshot victims, autism, ADHD, pseudo-seizures, and trauma. The patient ratio is 1:1. Other EEG technicians are available for support. Respiratory team is on-site for code responses. EEG supervisor also available for assistance. Public safety personnel will be present. Emergency services will be called for outpatients when necessary. Preferred charting system experience includes Epic. Experience with Nihon Kohden software is required. Floating to ICU will be expected occasionally. Scheduling requires weekend rotation with every weekend worked. No call is required for this position. If a holiday falls on a scheduled workday, the technician will be expected to work. Scrub color is Caribbean Blue.
